How To Make Brown With Food Coloring

You want to give your fizzy drinks a quick, light brown tint. You don’t have any color-changing food dye or liquid lipstick in your makeup bag. But there is an easy way to get that effect at home with a bottle of water and some food coloring.

How to make brown with food coloring?

After mixing-up the colored water with food coloring, now you need to put it into in a spray bottle. Spray around your hairline and let the dye soak in for as long as possible (I don’t know about you but I just can’t wait so this is what I usually do because after a few minutes its very faint). Then wash off all excess dye or color.

After leaving it on for as long as possible, which is usually a few minutes, you need to wash of all excess color.

I simply use my hands but in rare instances if I can’t get any off with out scrubbing then i will make sure that they are wet enough before diving into m hand sanitizer so at least 100% of the food coloring stays away….and rinse! (Although sometimes its hard not to touch your hair, so I suggest you pin it up or scrunch your hair back and do a quick rinse. Then this step is basically just scrubbing the water out of your hands.)

If you let it dry long enough (and i usually shower right away because then at least all my color washed off) You really can’t tell that they are brown anymore! Although as soon as I decide to mess with them again….they start fading in my head . Lets just say I will probably be getting some more of these for hold ups and temporary color over bleached highlights!

Conclusion

Food coloring is a commonly used ingredient that can be found in many different products. In order to create the perfect shade of brown, you’ll need to use a combination of food coloring and liquid watercolors. To get started, you’ll need to prepare your palette by removing any excess food coloring from your palette. Next, choose one or two colors that you want to work with and add them to a separate bowl. After adding the colorant, mix it well until the color reaches your desired shade.
